1. Find a comfortable, quiet space to work
Don’t underestimate the value of a quiet hotel room, free from distractions. Hang up the do-not-disturb sign, turn down the air conditioning to minimise noise and adjust the desk chair to make sure you’re sitting properly.
2. Use Skype Access to get online

If you see something on Heartbeat, there's no need to contact Skype, unless the announcement asks you to do so. For example, sometimes skype may need additional information about a certain problem with a given product or region. But in most cases, Skype are fully aware of the problem and working hard on fixing it. The good news here is that global problems tend to get resolved fairly quickly, and Skype haven't had any major outages lasting longer than a few hours, or a day or two in the most extreme cases.
